Under 18's draw

Liverpool struggled to get into the game during the first half and found themselves 1-0 down at the interval as Forest made their possession count. A well struck free kick gave Paul Lancaster in the Liverpool goal no chance as Forest took a deserved lead.

It was a different story in the second half however, as the Reds began to show their form. Johnathon Pringle equalised with a good header before top scorer Craig Lindfield headed home a Jimmy Ryan cross to put Liverpool in a deserved lead.

The Red continued to press and were only denied a third by some excellent goalkeeping by the Forest keeper.

Forest equalised from the penalty spot when Lancaster brought down their striker after an under hit backpass from Jay Spearing left him in a bit of trouble.

Liverpool pressed for the winner but could not find a way past an in-form goalkeeper.

The under 18's are away at Sheffield United this afternoon.
