Under 18's draw

The under 18's again played well but again failed to win. John Owens' side are still looking for their first win of the new season.

Despite playing the better football, the Reds found themselves 1-0 down and had to rely on a Craig Lindfield equaliser to earn a point. It was Lindfield's first goal of the season and hopefully the end to the under 18's lack of composure in front of goal.

"We still can't get our first win of the season but we played really well and should have won the game," Academy coach Owens told the club's official website.

"We are on top for the whole of the game but at the moment we just haven't got the quality in the final third of the field. I have been really happy with our performances this season as we have played some very good passing football but unfortunately putting the ball into the back of the net has been a problem for us."
