Under 18's draw

The Reds and the Blues drew 1-1 in the mini-mini derby at the Academy on Saturday. Swedish midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic gave Liverpool the lead with a fine 25 yard strike on the hour mark but the lead lasted a mere five minutes.

A poor first half was pretty even but after the break Liverpool played the better football and deserved to win. Ben Parsonage hit the bar while Marvin Pourie and Nathan Ecclestone both came close but in the end the teams had to share the points.
