Under 18's lose again

Despite Charlton finishing the game with ten men, John Owen's side could not take advantage and were beaten 2-1 in another poor game.

John Owens said: "It was another disappointing performance and we have too many players trying to play as individuals rather than as a team. I was pleased though with Robbie Threlfall from our Under-16 team who did very well.

"We were disappointed with the first Charlton goal as the ball quite clearly went out of play before they scored.

"Conal Platt equalised for us early in the second half and then had a great chance when he was clean through but was fouled resulting in their defending being sent-off.

"Unfortunately we didn't take advantage of having the extra man and they scored again."
