The young Reds play the first leg of their FA Youth Cup semi-final tonight and coach Hugh McAuley has promised to send his side out to attack even though this is the away leg.

"We know we have got a second game to come but it certainly won't influence the way we are going to play," he told the club's official website.

"We will get at them and try and cause Birmingham some problems and score goals. We are an attacking team and that's what we intend to do.

"We are looking forward to it and everybody's fit and available. Alex Kacaniklic is also back which gives us another boost. Daniel Ayala who missed the Bolton game through injury is fit again and that's another boost for us.

"When you get to a youth cup semi-final it's an exciting situation. We have worked hard to get to this situation and I think we deserve to be here.

"We've got a lot of hard work to do including these two games against Birmingham. The enthusiasm for playing in a semi-final is naturally there and hopefully we can show on the night that we are capable of getting a good result.

"We have been very pleased with the way we have played in this competition. I always feel the ingredients of a good team playing in the youth cup is that they improve. We have done that and we have played good teams and beaten them."
