Under 18's win

Liverpool's under 18's beat Manchester United 1-0 last Saturday to overtake the Mancs and climb up to second place in the table.

A second half goal from Craig Lindfield was enough to seperate the two sides and give the Reds what was a deserved victory. John Owens' side attacked from the off and were worthy winners in the end.

Ryan Flynn and Paul Barratt both had chances in what was a fairly even first half without really testing the United goalkeeper, but the Reds stepped up a gear in the second half.

It took a mere two minutes after the restart for Liverpool to take the lead. A cross into the box from Jordan Holmes was met decisively by Craig Lindfield who powered a header into the roof of the net.

The Reds continued to press after the goal and Lindfield could have ended up with a hat-trick if it wasn't from some decent saves from the Man Ure goalie.

Liverpool went at United from the off and their attacking play earned a deserved victory. The first team will be hoping to emulate the under 18's this weekend.
