"It was a deserved win and a very pleasing performance," Academy coach Owens told liverpoolfc.tv.
"Charlie scored a cracking goal to win it for us and it has ended up a very good week for us after reaching the final of the youth cup.
"Even though we have been doing really well in the cup our league form hasn't been good so this was a good three points for us."
