Uruguay booked their place in the last four with a penalty shoot-out win over hosts Argentina last night. The game had finished 1-1 after 120 minutes. Luis Suarez was one of Uruguay's successful penalty takers in the shoot-out while former Red Javier Mascherano was sent off for a foul on Suarez.
Uruguay will now face Peru in the semi-final on Tuesday.
