US duo back Benitez

After Rafa Benitez requested a meeting with the club's new owners last week, the American duo were quick to get in touch with the manager. Gillett and Hicks have deliberately kept a low profile until they could buy all the shares in the club. However, now they've got over 90% they will be in regular contact with Benitez.
"I've been in contact with the new owners by e-mail over the last two days and they answered very quickly. I know they will be here for the Arsenal game," said the Reds' boss.
"I will not meet them face to face before then, but we are in contact and we can progress from this. This is important because we need to know the situation so we can continue our plans for the future."
