Liverpool are claiming that Norwegian defender Vegard Heggem has not suffered another injury setback.

Heggem came on as a sub in the second half against Le Havre but was then replaced by Diarra, who himself had already been taken off. This caused fears and concerns for Liverpool's forgotten man but thankfully nothing serious has happened, report the club.

Heggem recently said that this season could be his last chance at saving his career and that further setbacks could force him to retire. Hopefully that will not be the case.

Vedgy is very popular with supporters in the internet community, mainly because he was the first Liverpool player to launch a website to reveal what life was really like as a footballer.
