Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira has blasted Gerard Houllier for the way he handled Nicolas Anelka.
The Liverpool boss decided not to press ahead with the transfer of Anelka for reasons that will be distributed on tonight's Insider update and instead decided to battle on by trying to sign Djibril Cisse or failing that, Frederic Kanoute.
That decision naturally caused Anelka to hit back at the boss followed quickly by PSG - now Vieira wants to get in on the Houllier bashing.
"It is lacking in class," said Vieira. "Especially as it is from a coach who has known Nico since he was a kid.
"Frankly, if he didn't call Nicolas to tell him the news, it is tactless!"
