"Liverpool were tough opponents, and I think they can go on to win it now," said Vieira. "They have done it before and they know exactly what it is about at this stage.
"They are in the last eight so of course they have a great chance now, but you also have to say that they are the most experienced of all the sides left in the competition," he said.
"They know how to get through these ties, as they showed against us, and they know how to win the cup. I think they are the side the others will want to avoid now.
"But, obviously as a former player, I hope Arsenal win it. They have been waiting a long time to win this trophy. We came very close a couple of seasons ago, and I hope this is their year."
