Laursen, who won the European Cup with Milan in 2003, says his old club are struggling with fitness and form and could be vunerable to Liverpool's attacks.

"I keep in touch with what is happening in Milan," said Laursen. "I've seen them the last couple of times and talked to some of their players and they are feeling a bit tired.

"They've been playing every three days as they're still in contention for the Italian league and that means unlike Liverpool who have no games, they can't prepare soley for the match and remain fresh.

"I think Liverpool have a good chance of winning the final now. If Milan are tired it can be their weakness.

"They play Palmero at the weekend just a few days before the final and that's not ideal for them. Of course, you can always have energy for a final but Liverpool's preperation seems perfect.

"When the Milan defence is tired, they can have a weakness with pace, and that could be a problem."
