Villa want Carson

Carson has impressed for England at the under 21's European Championships and his displays have persuaded Martin O'Neill to try and bring him to Villa Park. Aston Villa are said to be preparing a £3.5m bid.

Liverpool may not want to sell Carson as they have no experienced back up for Pepe Reina, but they may be interested in allowing the goalkeeper to again go out on a season long loan deal.
