Vignal is currently on loan at Rangers where he has been impressing, but David O'Leary is hopeful of signing the young full-back after contract talks between Vignal and the Rangers board broke down.
Newcastle and Marseille are also hoping to sign Vignal, who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
