Warnock relishing clash with former Academy mate

The Sky Blues face Accrington Stanley in the fourth round and Warnock will get the chance to catch up with one of his old friends from the Academy.

“I am made up with the draw because one of my friends, Peter Cavanagh, who was at Liverpool’s academy with me is captain of Accrington Stanley,” said Warnock.

“I would like them to get through against Colchester and hopefully I will see him at Highfield Road.

“We came up through the ranks together and we used to travel in every day to training, so I will be giving him a ring about it.”
