We must keep winning says Pennant

Although Liverpool are currently eleven points behind leaders Man Utd and no-one at Anfield is getting carried away, Jermaine Pennant says the Reds must keep getting results in case the teams above them do slip up.

"We have to believe that there is still a chance, even if we know that it will be very difficult. We have confidence because in the Premiership we have been on a great run, and we know that the way we are playing we can keep that going. You don't know what might happen, and you have to keep winning, and then wait and see," said the winger.

"With Manchester United and Arsenal still to come to Anfield, and with our record here, we are confident that we can close the gap. We know we can make it difficult for the top two, and we know that if we keep winning they will be looking over their shoulders at us. That is all we can do."
