Welsh is the regular captain of Liverpool's reserve side so is used to the responsibility. As usual Welsh gave a captain's performance in the 2-0 win.

"It was the first time I'd captained England at this level and it was a real honour. The first half didn't go too well for us but we improved after the break." said Welsh.

"Tunisia, to fair, weren't a bad side and the most important thing was that we got the right result and got our tournament off to a good start."
