Whitbread called up by USA

Son of Academy coach and former Runcorn player Barry Whitbread, Zak has earned a call up to the first team squad this season and made his senior debut against Thailand on Liverpool's tour of the Far East in the summer.

The World Youth Championships kick off in two weeks time, with USA facing Germany, Paraguay and the Korean Republic in Group F.
