It's down to me to work hard and impress the manager in training and if I can do that then hopefully I will get a few more chances.
"I am back from injury now and raring to go. I had a small tear in the back of my hamstring. It was a bit stiff at first and then it gradually went into a small tear. I've only been out for about 10 days so it's not too bad and I'm just looking to make some more progress now.
"I mean it is a long season and the manager has said everyone will be involved at some stage. I can only take that as a positive thing but Josemi can play at centre half as well and did well against Sofia in the Champions League. I can only keep playing well and training hard and hopefully get a chance.
"I've enjoyed every minute of every game I've played for the first team. I don't think I've done too bad but I'm still learning and there is a lot more to come from me. It does help playing alongside the likes of Sami and Jamie but I do think that when I'm called upon I can do a job there.
"The manager has given all of the young lads a real confidence boost. There were times a couple of years ago when I was uncertain about my future. As soon as the new manager came in all the young lads felt there was a real opportunity to impress and when you got the chance you had to take it. I know I have still got a lot to prove but I hope my performances for the first team have shown everyone what I can do."
