Why still the jibes at Pennant?

The lad has played well in every game so far that the team has played well in. Surely that tells you something?

Actually the team were shit against Brum but Pennant still had a go but didn't look great as he was basically crossing to an empty box.

Pennant, to me at least has proven that if the players in front of him and next to him do what they should be doing that he is a great addition to our squad.

All I see on here are constant pops at the lad and yet none of them are ever backed up by any real fact.

If Gerrard had walked the way Pennant did against Porto people would be applauding his workrate and will to win. Pennant had a hunger to change the game and alright he didn't go about it the right way but as I've said time and time again, I'd rather have players who get sent off from time to time trying than 11 players who stay on the pitch like chess pieces.

There are players in the team that have underperformed consistently and some that have worked hard but not provided (the latter get more time but not much more).

Pennant is not one of these players, he has worked hard, changed his attitude and been a very good memeber of our side.

Riise was atrocious against Brum and should really question whether he wants to or is in fact playing for Liverpool anymore.

Crouch seems to offer absolutely nothing.

These are players I can understand people having a pop at, even Kuyt is going to have to offer more than work rate soon. Pennant on the other hand is offering, pace, skill, assists and workrate. I fail to see the problem. I too would love a world class winger but for the other flank.
