Will Vauxhall drive Diouf out?

While the Senegal star's Anfield team-mates will be preparing for a glamour tie with European champions F.C Porto before a capacity 53,000 crowd in Toronto, Diouf will display his talents in the more unfamiliar surroundings of Riveacre Park.

Also swapping Porto for Ellesmere will be want-away Frenchman Anthony Le Tallec, who will be eager to secure a loan-move with Manchester City said to be interested in securing his services for the new campaign.

Vauxhall Manager Owen Brown, who also serves as a community staff member at Anfield, is understandably delighted to see the Reds bring such high-profile players to face his side.

Brown said: "All the Liverpool players who haven't gone to the States are in the squad for tonight's game.

"For players like that to be playing on your doorstep is brilliant for the people of Ellesmere Port. It'll be a good test for us and hopefully we will get a good gate for the game."

Fans hoping to catch what could be a final glimpse of the mercurial Diouf in a Liverpool shirt are reminded that kick-off is at 7.30pm, with tickets available for just £6.
