The Rennes winger is available on a free transfer in the Summer and has apparently agreed to join the Reds once the transfer window opens on July 1st.
"I am very close to reaching agreement with Liverpool about joining them next season," said Mareaux.
The 24 year old is currently out with a groin injury and is unlikely to play for Rennes again this season.
