The Reds are apparently close to completing a deal for the Atletico Madrid winger. Other clubs are interested in Rodriguez but he is said to favour a move to Anfield as he is close friends with Javier Mascherano and Fernando Torres.
The Argentinian's agent has said the chances of Rodriguez joining the Reds are 'high' and he could even sign in time to play against Spurs on Sunday.
