Xabi concentrating on league

Alonso says the Reds must put thoughts of the European Cup behind them and concentrate on their league form until the next round kicks off in February- regardless of who they get in next week's draw.

"We know we have to now concentrate on the Premiership and forget about Europe, apart from waiting for the last-16 draw next week," said the Basque.

"We have to start being consistent in the league and to manage more away victories, and now Europe is out of our minds we can work hard on correcting our league form."
