Mark Gonzalez is also fit again but Craig Bellamy misses out. Bellamy has resumed training after a calf injury but won't be risked tomorrow as he needs to build up his fitness level again.
"Xabi is fit and available and while Craig is training again I won't risk him against Reading," confirmed Rafael Benitez.
"Mark Gonzalez is fit and available and we will see how Luis Garcia is on Saturday."
