Xabi's warning

Liverpool are the bookies' favourites to progress tonight after scoring an away goal in the 1-1 first leg draw but Xabi Alonso points to Arsenal's excellent 2-0 away win in the San Siro against AC Milan and says the Gunners can't be underestimated.

"I don't see us as favourites. The tie is balanced. We know they can beat anyone anywhere. We saw that when they won against AC Milan, the current champions, in the San Siro," said the midfielder.

"We know that in order to go through we will have to do a lot of things right.

"But we also know that we are playing at Anfield and we'll have the supporters behind us. I don't know what it'll be like from Arsenal's point of view, but from our point of view the fans will be very important. They play a big role in European nights and I'm pretty sure tonight will be the same.

"Because it is at Anfield we have a very good chance of going through, and we want to take that chance."
