Xavier free to leave

The Portuguese defender's Liverpool contract ends on 1st January, despite him being released from his 12-month loan spell early by Galatasaray.

He has since been training with Brazilian side San Paolo, but will be released on a free transfer by Liverpool as soon as his contract expires.
