Xavier not Abel to return

The Portugese international was loaned to the Turkish giants until January but his decision to walk out on the team following a dispute over unpaid wages had led many to fear that the much-maligned defender could be set for an unwelcome return to Merseyside.
Manager Gerard Houllier, though, has dismissed such thoughts by insisting that the former Everton defender's row with Galatasaray is an issue for both the Turks and Xavier - not Liverpool.
Houllier said: "There is a problem between Abel and Galatasaray, not us."
