Yeovil star ready to slay boyhood heroes

The 27-year-old may have grown up idolising the trophy-laden Liverpool of the eighties, but he insists that he is more then ready to add to the problems being faced by a Reds side struggling to match up to the great feats of the past.

Jackson said: "Don't doubt it for a second. I may be a Liverpool fan, but my loyalty is to Yeovil these days. If I'm lucky enough to get myself into a scoring position, I'll do everything in my power to finish it.

"Call it David versus Goliath or whatever, it does throw up the chance of a giant-killing."
