The Israel captain has signed for Chelsea from Liverpool on a three year deal for an undisclosed sum, believed to be in the region of £5.5m.
"Yossi's departure was agreed between the player and Rafael Benitez a number of weeks ago. Everybody at Liverpool FC wishes him well for the future," said a Reds spokesman.
