Yossi staying

Rumours had begun linking Benayoun with a move away from Anfield, possibly to Spartak Moscow, when the transfer window opens on January 1st. However, Benayoun's agent says the Israeli is going nowhere.

"I don't understand where they're getting this from,"said Ronen Katsav.

"Yossi is happy at Liverpool, he played the full 90 minutes on Monday against West Ham.

"Benayoun wants to remain in the best league in the world with Liverpool, to continue to battle for the title, which this year the club is closer than ever to winning."
