Youth team manager John Owens said: "Our play wasn't as good as it should have been and we lost a goal in either half.
"The first goal was crucial in the match. James Smith left the pitch with an injury but I delayed making a substitution because we thought he might come back on. They scored and then it was obvious he couldn't come on.
"James had an X-ray and fortunately the ankle wasn't broken and it was just bruising to his shin."
