Liverpool are supposed to play the second leg of their Champions League qualifier in Israel on August 22nd. Bolo Zenden is the latest Red to publicly voice doubts about playing in Tel Aviv.

"It's clear we don't want to go to Israel. Obviously nobody wants to go. I was at Chelsea a few years ago when there was some controversy over a European game and at that time I decided I would go to Tel Aviv. Several other players decided not to go," said the Dutch midfielder.

"That was a long time ago, but the situation is much different this time. At that time the issue was the build up to the Gulf War and whether something might happen in Israel, whereas now it's a war directly impacting on the country."
