Well, the good results just keep coming in at the moment. Following my last update on the Fulham game we have played two Premiership games and two Champions League games. In all four games we have come out with excellent results.

No bull....just telling it as it is!
The first premiership game was against Newcastle which was a real important game because this would determine who would stay in the title race, and we took an emphatic 3-0 victory to stay up there and I have to say I thought we played fantastically. We proved most critics who say that we are boring wrong because I thought we ran rings around Newcastle, every player I thought played brilliantly.

The other premiership game was against Middlesbrough and once again we won 2-1 but in not such a great style. I thought we turned from playing brilliantly against Newcastle to playing awful football against Middlesborough. Infact I was surprised that they didn't beat us, but luckily even though we weren't playing that great we pulled of a win.

We are now in third position in the premiership and still in contention for the title. I think we can still win it, we are only two points behind Manchester United and 1 point behind Arsenal but they have a game in hand. All I can say is if we don't mess it up against the lesser teams of the premiership it is going to be an exciting end to the season and I can't wait to see how it all folds out.

Our Champions league games have been against Barcelona and Roma and we needed to pull off some decent results against both teams if we were to go through to the quarterfinals of the cup. I have to admit I thought we had no chance and we were definately going to get knocked out. The first of the two games was against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and we drew 1-1, although we didn't win I thought that was an excellent result considering we were away and against a team full of class. This result left us with one game left against Roma and for us to qualify we had to either hope for Barcelona to beat Galatasary and we draw, or we had to beat Roma by a clear 2 goals.

I have to admit, to my surprise, we beat them 2-0 which was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't believe it, I totally went off on one I was so chuffed it was unbelievable. Litmanen scored the first in cool style by slotting home a penalty and Heskey grabbed the second with an excellent header. Liverpool as a team were fantastic from start to finish we looked if we had nothing else on there minds but winning, we did have a few shaky moments but the reliable Henchoz and Hyypia we there on hand to clear the lines. We spent a lot of the game attacking an it paid off, winning 2-0 and sending us through to quarter-finals of the Champions League, an shows Liverpool are back in Europe and ready to take Europe by storm. I think we now have a great chance of winning it, so this season could still turn out just as good as last with us in with a chance of the Premiership and the Champions League its absolutely fantastic, and it looks as though the smile on my face won't be going for a while.

Another fantastic thing about the game was to see Gerard Houllier back in the dug out and managing the team, it just another positive point to push Liverpool forward.

So I say bring on the next game because we'll be ready.

Talk to ya's soon
