Liverpool have, what looks on paper, to be a very kind run-in. But our rivals also have to face each other in games that could quite easily mean that one team can be virtually ruled out of the race for the Premiership if they pick up a bad result against one of the other teams in the race.

Looking at our own remaining fixtures, we have seven home games and just four away. The more challenging opponents we have to face are Chelsea and Newcastle, but both of these games are at Anfield. Everton at home is never a game I am 100% confident of picking up three points, but the way we are playing at the moment, there shouldn't be too many problems. Tottenham away looks the most challenging game away from home, but after winning at Old Trafford and Elland Road in recent weeks, you would have to fancy our chances there too.
Manchester United still have to face Chelsea away (having already been beaten by them at home), Arsenal at home and Leeds away. “Never rule out Man Utd” – another common phrase from the pundits. OK, they've had a good run recently against lower half opposition. Now we'll see how they go against better opposition.
Arsenal appear to be the other team in the race (and possibly Newcastle). They still have to travel to Old Trafford and St. James' Park as well as a home derby with Spurs.
Based on how the run-in looks alone you'd have to agree that Liverpool have to be favourites. The challenge will be if they can continue the recent good form in the league with the added distraction of the Champions League – a distraction that Arsenal and Man Utd have to overcome also.
